Kristen Berdan, DVM, DABVP

Dr. Kristen Berdan practices canine/feline medicine. She has lived all over the country over the years, including Maine, Texas, Ohio, California and New Jersey. She became a veterinarian due to its perfect blending of her interest in science and her fondness for animals. Dr. Berdan received her undergraduate BS Biomedical Science degree from Texas A&M University, and her veterinary degree from The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Berdan completed her residency at Portland Veterinary Specialists, and was awarded board certification by the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners. Dr. Berdan enjoys her work, making pets feel better and helping them to stay healthy. Her blend of work in internal medicine involves diagnostic testing such as ultrasonography, and developing treatment plans for systemic diseases. Her work in general practice involves emergency care, preventative medicine and helping owners provide good quality of life for their companion animals. Dr. Berdan is married with two daughters, and has two cats. She likes spending time at home in her role as family caterer, events planner and travel agent, enjoying all the fun that life in Maine has to offer.
